Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford says winning the La Liga title was the ‘perfect ending’ to his spell at Barcelona .

Rashford scored a brilliant free-kick as Barca beat Real Madrid on Sunday and clinched their 29th La Liga title with three games to spare.

England international Rashford put Barcelona ahead inside nine minutes before Ferran Torres added a second as Hansi Flick’s side cruised to a comfortable El Clasico win at the Nou Camp.

After retaining the La Liga trophy, Barcelona are now seven league titles behind record winners Real Madrid.

Speaking after the game, Rashford admitted he wanted to extend his stay at Barcelona but suggested that was far from certain.

‘This is the perfect way I want it to end,’ Rashford told ESPN . ‘I’m very happy, I just want to enjoy today.

‘I live in the moment. At the end of the season we will see. I came here to win and we do this, so I’m very happy. It’s an incredible feeling.

Asked in the mixed zone whether he would still be a Barcelona player come the start of next season, Rashford added: ‘I don’t know.

‘I am not a magician, but if I was, I would stay. We will see. I came here to win. I want to win as many things as I can.
