Thomas Frank sacked LIVE: Tottenham statement, De Zerbi and Pochettino among favourites
Tottenham Hotspur have sacked manager Thomas Frank after less than seven months in charge of the Premier League side.
His exit comes in the aftermath of Tuesday night's defeat to Newcastle - a reverse that has left Spurs sitting just five points clear of the relegation zone. The Dane was adamant that he retained the support of the club's hierarchy, but a statement issued on Wedneday morning confirmed his departure.
Frank was only appointed in June following an impressive spell in charge of Brentford. He replaced Ange Postecoglou at the helm.
But it has been a disastrous spell in North London for the Dane, with Spurs' Premier League form having been dismal. Fans have also recently turned.
The search is now underway for the club's next manager with Roberto De Zerbi and former boss Mauricio Pochettino among the early favourites.

Spurs confirm exit
Tottenham released a statement confirming Frank's exit just moments ago. It read: A statement on Wednesday read: "The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today. Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
"However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary. Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future."
