James Milner makes Premier League history with incredible feat 🥇

The Premier League now has a new joint all-time record appearance holder.

James Milner overtook Gareth Barry with his 653rd appearance as an early first-half substitute for Carlos Baleba in Brighton's encounter with Aston Villa on Wednesday.

It was fitting that the 40-year-old achieved the milestone on his old stomping ground, not least as he equalled his one-time Villa teammate Gareth Barry with the milestone.

Milner's 653rd top flight appearance also marked an incredible sequence where he has lined up alongside players who were born in every year from 1968 until 2007.
