Inter and Italy defender Bastoni injured during Milan derby

Inter and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni was forced to be subbed off after suffering an injury in the second half of the Milan derby on Sunday.

Italy international Bastoni was forced to be subbed off at minute 68 of Inter’s Serie A match against Milan on Sunday.

Bastoni collided with Milan midfielder Arien Rabiot, committing a foul and receiving a yellow card.

The Inter defender took the worst of it, remaining on the ground in pain and needing treatment from the Nerazzurri’s medical staff.

He was quickly replaced by Inter coach Cristian Chivu, who introduced the Brazilian Carlos Augusto.

Inter are expected to provide injury updates in the coming hours, and Italy CT Gennaro Gattuso will be awaiting news on Bastoni as well.
