West Ham have told fans who have purchased a ticket for May's fixture against Arsenal without a booking history that they will have to prove they are supporters in order to be permitted entry to the London Stadium.
The Gunners are nine points clear the Premier League summit and there is a chance they could clinch their first domestic title in over 20 years when they travel to east London to play West Ham on May 9. And there are already fears that Arsenal fans have been snapping up tickets in home areas of the ground in a bid to see their team win the title.
A new report from The Sun reveals that West Ham have been in touch with fans who have bought tickets without a booking history.
And they have informed supporters that they and their guests will have to prove their allegiance to the club - with 'photographic evidence' of them either at a game or wearing West Ham merchandise.
The report goes on to include an email sent from the ticket office to some first-time buyers, which reads: “We are currently conducting ticket checks for this fixture to ensure that away supporters do not purchase tickets in the home end and, accordingly, advise that your ticket is currently on hold and will not permit you entry into the stadium on match day in line with our terms and conditions.
“These conditions have been accepted by you during the purchasing process and state ‘home match tickets are for the use of supporters of the club only’.

“As you have no previous booking history with us or have only/mainly booked this particular fixture, we require evidence of you and your guest(s) being a West Ham United supporter.
“Therefore, could you please provide photographic evidence that you are a West Ham United supporter which can be from a party, event or fixture wearing West Ham merchandise or West Ham related evidence (please note any merchandise will need to be purchased prior to January 2026).”
While Arsenal will hope to be coronated on May 9, which could happen if they and Manchester City match each other's results over the next four weeks, West Ham are scrapping for survival at the other end of the table, meaning both sides could have plenty resting on said fixture.
