West Ham vs Bournemouth Premier League preview, team news and prediction

West Ham will take on Bournemouth at 5.30pm on Saturday as both sides look to continue their strong runs of recent form.

They may be on opposite sides of the Premier League table, but both the Hammers and Cherries have won three of their last five games. Bournemouth sit in ninth with a comfortable 37 points, while West Ham are fighting for survival in 18th place, with 24 points. They are desperately hoping to draw in Nottingham Forest on 27 points and Tottenham on 29 and secure their Premier League survival.

The East Londoners have been inconsistent on home turf, while Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth haven’t tasted defeat in their last seven matches across all competitions. Bournemouth’s away performances have been robust. The South Coast squad has not lost in six of their last seven on the road, and their last six games overall have produced three wins and three draws.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s team has struggled to find consistent results, but three wins, two draws, and one defeat from their last six results will deliver some much-needed cheer.

The last three meetings between these teams have ended in one victory for the Hammers and two draws. Bournemouth have yet to secure an away win against West Ham in this recent run.

West Ham are missing Lukasz Fabianski due to a back injury, which has seen Alphonse Areola step in for several recent games. Bournemouth are without several first-team regulars, including Marcus Tavernier, Julio Soler, Matai Akinmboni, James Hill, and Justin Kluivert.
