🚨 BREAKING: Chelsea captain signs new long-term deal
Chelsea have announced that team captain Reece James has signed a new contract that runs until 2032.

His previous deal was due to expire in 2028 but the 26-year-old has now inked terms on an additional four-year extension.
The new terms also see the versatile defender aligned with the club's incentivised wage structure which was adopted following their takeover in 2022.

James first trained with the club at the age of six and progressed through the academy before becoming a regular member of the first-team squad.
He has made more than 200 appearances for Chelsea and has won five major trophies with the club, including the 2021 Champions League and the Club World Cup twice.
James has also captained the team on more than 50 occasions.
