'They stay on your mind' - Man City's mission to avoid heartbreak hat-trick revealed

Jeremy Doku admits Manchester City are on a mission to avoid a hat-trick of FA Cup final heartbreaks.
Pep Guardiola's men were left stunned after losing the last two finals - despite being strong favourites to lift the trophy each time. City went down 2-1 to bitter rivals Manchester United in 2024, before losing to Crystal Palace last season.
Doku was part of the squad which had to settle for runners up medals on both occasions. And the Belgium international insists the fear of more failure is driving City to win the competition again - for the first time since 2023.
Guardiola's side are red-hot favourites to beat Southampton in Saturday's semi final at Wembley.
And Doku said: "Obviously, they stay on your mind. I try not to shift my attention to the things that I don't have. I'm grateful for what I have, for what I have won already.
"But I know obviously that those two times where I lost, I wanted to win those games. "So now being in the semi-final, I want to go back to the final and win that trophy. "Because I won a Carabao Cup and I won the Premier League - so I want to win the FA Cup as well."
Doku admits the chance to go on and win a second trophy of the season has to be taken - because landing silverware is addictive.
The winger added: "Winning a trophy, even if we won those finals, I would still be motivated. I want to win the trophy. Like I'm motivated right now to win the Premier League.
"Although I already won a league title, I'm still motivated because you always want to win. You always want to win. It's never enough, I would say."
