Robert Lewandowski is leaving his future at Barcelona up in the air
Lewandowski 's departure from Barcelona at the end of the current season seemed almost a reality, but the player himself still does not confirm or deny it despite the words of his wife in January, when she admitted that it would probably be "his last season at Barca".
The Polish striker gave an interview to The Athletic and was not as blunt as his partner: "I don't know, I have to feel it . For now I can't say anything about what I will decide because I'm not even 50% sure which way I want to go".
Maybe in three months' time is when I'll have to do it, but even so I'm not stressed. I have to start feeling it
"With the age and experience I have, I don't have to decide now. Maybe in three months it will be when I have to do it, but even so I have no stress. I have to start feeling it so that it is easier when we talk about my future ," said the Barcelona player.
Whatever the decision, Lewandowski takes many positives from his time as a Blaugrana. "Being at Barcelona in recent years has allowed me to see how much dedication and hard work goes on behind the scenes to keep the club going. There is great ambition and faith in the future ," the player said in the interview.
I believe in continuity and in people who really understand the values and identity of this club
At 37 years of age , the striker, who has scored 115 goals in a Barcelona shirt, knows himself perfectly: "I used to think I could eat whatever I wanted because I was skinny, but when I trained I had no strength. I started to change and in a few weeks the difference was huge".
Lewy arrived hand in hand with Laporta and therefore does not hesitate to go with him in the presidential elections that are taking place: "For a club like Barcelona , stability and confidence in the long-term project are fundamental. I believe in continuity and in people who really understand the values and identity of this club".
