Real Madrid expect superstar to be ready for potential CL quarterfinal first leg in April
Real Madrid take on Getafe tonight at the Santiago Bernabeu without as many as six first-team stars.
Indeed, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham , Dani Ceballos, Raul Asencio, Eduardo Camavinga and Eder Militao all miss out due to physical problems.
Asencio and Camavinga’s issues are not serious and they are expected to be back soon, while Militao’s return is still uncertain. As for Mbappe, he will be unavailable for the next two games after tonight as well.
Now, according to AS , Bellingham’s recovery has slowed down. He will certainly not join England during that international break for friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.
The expectation is that he will be available for the first leg of a potential Champions League quarterfinal on 7 April, against either Bayern Munich or Atalanta.
He was injured against Rayo Vallecano on 1 February, suffering a tear in the semitendinosus muscle of his left leg. Internally, his absence was estimated at between three and five weeks, but that has not been the case.

Having reached the one-month mark in his recovery, and is still some distance from returning.
The idea is that he could receive the all-clear from the medical department in late March or early April , and he could be ready in time for the Champions League quarterfinal on 7 April, provided Real Madrid qualify.
Prior to his injury, Bellingham, who had already missed a few months of action at the start of the season, had not been in the best form.
The midfielder had found it hard to nail down his role in Xabi Alonso’s system and got injured only a couple of weeks into Alvaro Arbeloa’s tenure.
But, Real Madrid should be able to count on the former Borussia Dortmund superstar for the final run-in.
