Official: Real Madrid starting lineup against Celta Vigo | La Liga MD 27

Real Madrid will aim to return to winning ways in La Liga as they take on Celta Vigo later tonight away at Balaidos.

With kickoff over an hour ago, manager Alvaro Arbeloa has announced the starting lineup that will be taking the field against the Galician outfit.

Raul Asencio, who missed Monday night’s defeat to Getafe due to a neck sprain, is fit again and starts alongside Antonio Rudiger in defence.

Meanwhile, Ferland Mendy gets the nod at left-back ahead of Fran Garcia in the absence of the suspended Alvaro Carreras. It marks his first appearance under Arbeloa.

Trent Alexander-Arnold continues at right-back, while Thibaut Courtois starts in goal as usual.

Meanwhile, in midfield, there is a second consecutive start for teenage prodigy Thiago Pitarch after he impressed against Getafe on his full debut.

Federico Valverde, Arda Guler, and Aurelien Tchouameni make up the rest of the midfield unit.

Up top, Brahim Diaz gets a rare start as he replaces Gonzalo Garcia as Vinicius Jr.’s attacking partner in the absence of Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo Goes.
