Mason Greenwood is Champions League giants' 'favourite transfer target' this summer - and Man United could get pay-out from £43m fee
Mason Greenwood could be on the move this summer, with the Marseille forward linked with a transfer to a European giant.
Greenwood is enjoying another prolific season in the south of France, having scored 25 goals in 38 games in all competitions so far - alongside providing eight assists.
The 24-year-old's form has caught the eye of one club in particular, with two-time European Cup winners Juventus reportedly eyeing up a summer swoop.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , Marseille may be forced to sell Greenwood due to financial reasons if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League .
Marseille currently sit third in Ligue 1 on 49 points - two above fourth-placed Lyon, three ahead of fifth-placed Lille and six clear of Monaco and Rennes who are sixth and seventh. The top three teams in Ligue 1 are guaranteed Champions League football next term.
If Marseille are forced to sell though, they would command a fee of at least £43million for his services, the Italian publication details.

A portion of that transfer fee would go to Manchester United too who have a sell-on clause following his £30million departure to the French club in July 2024.
La Gazzetta dello Sport adds that Juventus have held an interest in Greenwood for a few years, with the Italian giants having tried to sign him ahead of Marseille two years ago.
