đź‘‘ Muriqi cements Mallorca legacy with brace against Vallecano

There's a new name atop the goalscoring pantheon in the Balearic Islands after Kosovar star Vedat Muriqi continued his scintillating 2025/26 form against Rayo Vallecano.

The 31-year-old Prizren-born target man has been enjoying a career campaign at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, coming into today's home clash sitting on 19 goals in 29 La Liga appearances, already a personal best.

Muriqi did not struggle to add to his overall tally on the day either, hitting a six-minute brace before the halftime interval to take him over the 20-goal mark for the season.

And with that, Muriqi achieved something few, if any, thought possible; becoming Mallorca's all-time record goalscorer in La Liga.

For a club that has seen star names the likes of previous holder Samuel Eto'o and 2007/08 Pichichi winner Daniel GĂĽiza lead the line over the years, Muriqi's unexpected feat surely ranks up there as one of the most memorable moments in club history.
