Morgan Rogers could be on his way out of Aston Villa this summer, with a host of Premier League big guns in the frame to snap up the England star. The attacking midfielder only signed a new six-year deal with Villa in November but it's claimed he may be getting itchy feet at Villa Park.

Rogers is keen to be part of a team that is constantly pushing to win major trophies, reports The Sun. Villa have improved immensely under Unai Emery , reaching the last eight of the Champions League last season and in the frame to qualify for it again this term.

However, you have to go back 30 years for the last time Villa won a trophy, the League Cup in 1996. And despite being a key player, there are suggestions Villa would not stand in Rogers' way if their asking price is met. The likes of Arsenal , Liverpool and Chelsea have been credited with an interest.

It is claimed that there is broad agreement between the player and the club that this summer could be the best time to part ways. Villa have been grappling to remain within financial regulations, meaning the sale of their most valuable player for upwards of £100million would make sense financially.

Qualifying for the Champions League - either via the league or by winning the Europa League - would help on the fiscal front but wouldn't necessarily lead to Rogers staying put. Missing out on Champions League football would almost certainly lead to his departure.

Despite being such a key player, his exit could be smooth due to his strong relationships with both Emery and the club hierarchy. It is claimed they would not stand in his way if the right offer were to come in.

Villa would reportedly expect to receive north of £80m for Rogers. In fact, a sale could potentially top the £100m they received from Manchester City for Jack Grealish .

That kind of fee would be within Liverpool's range. There's little doubt the Reds will be looking to spend this summer after such a disappointing title defence and with a Mohamed Salah-sized hole to fill.

Rogers has already made his respect clear for another Anfield legend after naming Virgil van Dijk in his dream five-a-side team.

Speaking to the BBC earlier this season, Rogers praised the Dutchman's "aura" and added: "Just being there, I think the feeling of him just scares people."

The other members of his team were Kyle Walker , Kevin De Bruyne, Yaya Toure and Cristiano Ronaldo .
