Mohamed Salah has sensationally revealed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.

The 33-year-old has enjoyed a stunning spell at Anfield, winning every major honour, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League .

During his nine seasons on Merseyside he has racked up the goals, scoring 255 times in total. But the 25/26 campaign will be his last, after he confirmed his plan to leave on social media on Tuesday evening.

"Hello everyone. Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell: I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season," he said in a video posted on X.

"I wanted to start by saying that I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people, would become part of my life. Liverpool, it's not a just a football club. It's a passion. It's a history. It's a spirit. I can't explain in words to anyone not part of this club.

"We celebrated victory. We won the most important trophies. And we fought together through the hardest time in our life."

Mo Salah: Where next?

We now know that Mohamed Salah will only play in a Liverpool shirt a handful more times.

What we don't know is where the Egyptian superstar will end up next.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet but there have been plenty of whispers claiming that Salah will head to the Saudi Pro League at some point during recent transfer windows.

Interest from Saudi clubs is likely still there. And that could be where Salah lands.

“Mohamed Salah is to bring the curtain down on his illustrious career with Liverpool at the end of the 2025-26 season.

“The forward has reached an agreement with the Reds that will see him close a remarkable nine-year chapter at Anfield.

“Salah expressed his wish to make this announcement to the supporters at the earliest possible opportunity to provide transparency about his future due to his respect and gratitude for them.”
