M odric will miss the rest of the Serie A season after the blow he received to his face in the match against Juventus. This is according to Croatian media outlet Sportske Novosti : "Luka Modric has a double cheekbone fracture and his season in Milan is over".
The injury report is frightening ahead of the World Cup , but the midfielder's compatriots are optimistic: "The captain will play there, probably with a protective mask. It is still unknown what kind of recovery awaits him: surgery or conservative treatment."
