Man Utd learn surprising cut-price £30m fee for 27-y/o midfield target who ‘dreams’ of playing at Old Trafford
Manchester United remain firm admirers of Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams , who poses as an affordable and proven midfield target this summer.
Indeed, the Cherries star has found himself amongst a host of Premier League players on United’s shortlist heading into the transfer period, joining the likes of Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson.

Of the midfielders that the Reds are considering, Adams looks set to be the one with the lowest price tag, with CaughtOffside claiming he could be available for just £30 million at the end of the season.
INEOS chiefs are actively scouring the market for a suitable successor/s to Casemiro and, while the 27-year-old isn’t quite at the same level as the five-time Champions League winner, he could provide crucial depth in a campaign in which United will be hoping to compete on all fronts.
Adams won’t be a marquee addition in the way Anderson or Wharton would, but you can understand why he has caught the eye of transfer chiefs in M16, as his consistency and wealth of top-flight experience make him a relatively risk-free coup.

When facing United in December, he was withdrawn inside just five minutes after tearing the medial ligament in his left knee when attempting to block a shot from former RB Leipzig teammate Matheus Cunha.
Now that he’s back in action for Bournemouth, Adams has reflected on the untimely setback, telling Men In Blazers: “ I’m in a good spot. There was a longer timetable for the injury when it first happened, but I’ve come back a little bit earlier.
“It wasn’t ideal. You dream of nights playing at Old Trafford against Man United . Those are the biggest games you can play in the Premier League, and something like that happens.”
CaughtOffside’s report adds that the sides interested in the former Leeds United man may wait until after the World Cup to officially ignite their pursuits in order to see how he fares at the tournament.

Adams is a 52-capped international for the United States, and he’ll be chomping at the bit to excel for his nation while they co-host this year’s instalment with Canada and Mexico.
Then, when it’s all wrapped up and the trophy is lifted on July 19 in New Jersey, clubs can really begin cracking on with their transfer negotiations.
