Millionaire former Premier League owner stabbed in own home by masked robbers

Fawaz Al-Hasawi, the former Nottingham Forest owner, was stabbed by robbers after they confronted him in his home earlier this month.
Al-Hasawi, 57, owned the Premier League club between 2012 and 2017 before selling Forest to their current chief, Evangelos Marinakis. His premiership saw the club go through nine managers in five years in the Championship, with Marinakis overseeing their return to the Premier League back in 2022.
The Sun report that Al-Hasawi, a Kuwaiti entrepreneur, was in his £10million home in Mayfair when it was raided by masked robbers.
Al-Hasawi is said to have been sleeping when the robbers entered his room and was left with stab wounds to his hands and neck after the confrontation.

Images of Al-Hasawi with bandaged hands have gone viral on social media. The report that adds that it is currently unclear if the robbers made off with anything from the former Forest owner's home.
Per the report, the Metropolitan Police said the injuries Al-Hasawi suffered were not life-threatening or life-changing and inquiries were continuing.
Nottingham Forest have established themselves as a Premier League club following Marinakis' acquisition of the club and they qualified for European football last term after finishing seventh.

They have endured a challenging 2025-26 campaign, though, and find themselves 17th in the Premier League standings.
