Manchester United will reportedly wear next season’s new home kit during their run-in this term. United have just three Premier League fixtures left to play before the campaign draws to a close.
Interim head coach Michael Carrick has helped guide United to qualification for the Champions League , with a top-five spot in the Premier League secured after the victory over Liverpool last weekend.
United will now have three games to complete the season before the full focus will then turn to the summer transfer window and the appointment of a manager on a long-term deal, where it remains to be seen if Carrick’s name will be under serious consideration.
A report in the Manchester Evening News has claimed that United will wear next season’s new home kit, provided by Adidas, in their final two matches of the season.
After travelling to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland this weekend, United will then host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on May 17.
It’s this game that could see United wear their 2026/27 home kit, if the report turns out to be accurate. United will then travel to face Brighton at the Amex Stadium on May 24 in the final game of the campaign, where next season’s home strip could also be worn.
United agreed a 10-year extension with Adidas back in 2023 to remain their kit supplier in a deal believed to be worth around £900million.
Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.
Thanks to United qualifying for the Champions League, the Red Devils will also reportedly receive an additional £10million from the sports manufacturing giants.
Snapdragon are also expected to continue as United’s front-of-shirt sponsor, with Qualcomm Technologies having a £60million-per-season deal with the Reds that will run until 2029.
The final three games of the season are now expected to see uncertainty around Carrick’s future in the Old Trafford dugout, with the 44-year-old being appointed in January on an interim basis until the end of the campaign.

Carrick was asked about his future ahead of this weekend’s clash against Sunderland, days after the former Middlesbrough boss guided United to Champions League qualification.
"Listen, clarity is important," Carrick told reporters on Thursday.
"It was always spoken about towards the end of the season, so nothing has really changed. I'm calm about it, it’ll get sorted when it’s going to get sorted. It’s out of my hands, so we’ll see what happens."
