Liam Rosenior is set to return to his former stomping ground when his Chelsea side take on Hull City . The Blues face a trip to the MKM Stadium for a fourth-round tie in the FA Cup on Friday evening.
Former full-back Rosenior played for the Tigers between 2010 and 2015 and managed the side from late 2022 to mid 2024, having been sacked at the end of the 2023/24 season after failing to reach the Championship play-offs.
Nevertheless, Rosenior is expected to receive a warm welcome from the home fans on Friday. He was appointed Chelsea head coach in early January after an impressive 18-month stint in charge of their sister club Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
The 41-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the west Londoners. And supporting him in the background has been his wife, Erika (née Quinones), who he shares four children with.
They're reportedly based at their family home in Derbyshire, though the couple lived apart after Rosenior took the Strasbourg job due to Erika and the children remaining in England. However, he made frequent trips back to see his family during international breaks.

Their personal life remains somewhat of a mystery but it is known that his wife is American. They married in a picturesque waterside ceremony before celebrating at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes.
The former Hull City manager revealed in late January that he was still living out of a hotel room several weeks into his Chelsea tenure. He faced Charlton in the FA Cup just two days after taking charge of his first training session and has overseen 10 matches in total, winning seven and losing two of them.

Rosenior explained that, due to the hectic schedule, he was yet to find the time to move into a permanent home and he and his staff were living in the hotel. He said: "I haven’t even looked at a house, I’m in a hotel!
"I’m in a hotel with Kalifa [Cisse], Justin [Walker] and Ben [Warner], getting Uber Eats at times rather than the hotel food, and just watching football and enjoying and sleeping, making sure we manage our energy."
He continued: "I’m lucky because the job that I do is my passion. I think if you enjoy what you do, you don’t burn out."

Speaking about facing the Tigers, Rosenior said: "For me, Hull City is very special. My grandma was a season ticket-holder. I've got my family coming up. The club means a lot to me for many reasons.
"Hopefully, we can put on a really good show. I want to do well in this competition. I don't see it any different to a Premier League or Champions League game. We will go there with a team I think can win the game. We will take it seriously."
