KSI makes immediate decision after buying football club as he follows Ryan Reynolds' lead

British YouTuber KSI will film a docuseries about Dagenham & Redbridge after purchasing a minority stake in the sixth-tier club. This follows in the footsteps of Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac at Wrexham.

KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, made a name for himself on the video-sharing platform and co-founded the group Sidemen. He has also dabbled in boxing , music and is a judge on Britain's Got Talent .

Earlier this week, the 32-year-old confirmed his involvement with the National League South outfit . They currently sit in the bottom half of the table after being relegated last season.

He admitted that reaching the Premier League with the club is his dream and he wants to help them climb back up the English football pyramid. Such ambition harkens Reynolds and Mac's Wrexham goals and the similarities don't stop there.

KSI and the award-winning After Party Studios have announced that they'll be producing a 'Race To The Top' docuseries that will be released this summer on the YouTuber's channel. He has over 17 million subscribers on the platform.

Much like Reynolds and Mac's 'Welcome to Wrexham' that airs on Disney+, this programme will provide insight into ownership and the day-to-day running of the club.

The Wrexham docuseries was first released in 2022, two years after the pair took over the club in 2021, and their team now find themselves in the Championship from the National League.

After Party Studios states: "Cameras will track KSI as he takes the reins of the club, offering unprecedented access to the day-to-day trials and tribulations of running a non-league side in the modern football ecosystem, with boardroom meetings and fan reaction to contend with."

After initially airing in the summer, the series will continue into the 2026/27 season. Ben Doyle, also known as RVBBERDUCK, will lead the project and previously produced KSI's documentary 'KSI: Can't Lose,' which chronicled his transformation from YouTube star to boxer.

KSI said: "This is a really big deal for me. For the fans who've been with me since 'Race to Division One,' it's a full-circle moment — from dreaming about football online to actually taking over a club.

Doyle added: "When KSI called me on a rainy Sunday morning last November and said he was buying a football club, I knew I had to be there to capture it. When we shot 'KSI: Can't Lose' back in 2018, I rolled the cameras as he redefined an entire sport.
