Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that a comeback to the dugout might be possible down the line, despite insisting he has no immediate plans to return to management. Klopp left Anfield in the summer of 2024 following nearly nine years in charge of the Reds.
Klopp was succeeded by Arne Slot at Liverpool , who proceeded to secure the Premier League title in his first campaign on Merseyside.
Following his Liverpool exit, Klopp accepted the position of global head of football at Red Bull . His responsibilities oversee all clubs within the Red Bull network, including RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg and the New York Red Bulls, amongst others.
Nevertheless, Klopp has been persistently linked with a managerial comeback, with recent speculation indicating that the Real Madrid position could be a possibility for the 58-year-old.
Klopp, however, has dismissed the 'nonsense' claims regarding a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu, as reported in the Liverpool Echo .
"If Real Madrid had called, we would have heard about it by now,” Klopp told reporters at the Magenta TV World Cup team presentation being held in Munich. “But that's all nonsense. They didn't even call, not once. They didn't even call my agent."
He added: "I've said that a thousand times already, but of course I'm not thinking about it at all right now. There's no reason to, thankfully.
“And as for the future, I'm not quite finished as a coach yet. So who knows what might come up in the next few years. But there are absolutely no plans in that regard."

In recent weeks, there has been speculation about Klopp's future at Red Bull and whether he might be leaving soon, despite only taking up the role in January of the previous year.
However, Klopp dismissed those rumours, too. "The same idiots wrote that," he said. "The less someone knows about football, the more they think: I should be at the various locations even more often than I am.
“The colleague from the 'Salzburger Nachrichten' who wrote that has absolutely no clue. I'm not thinking of throwing in the towel."
Klopp's remarks come just days before he is set to return to the Anfield dugout for Liverpool's charity match this weekend.
The ex-Liverpool manager will join Sir Kenny Dalglish's coaching team as Liverpool Legends take on another of his former sides, Borussia Dortmund , in a charity game on Merseyside this Saturday afternoon.
