Jorginho's marriage to Jude Law's ex and spat with Chappell Roan after step-daughter in tears

Champions League winner Jorginho was never far from excitement over the course of his eight-year Premier League career. And it's apparent the Italy international's personal life tends to carry a touch of added spice as well.

The 34-year-old tied the knot with Irish singer and entertainer Catherine Harding in the summer of 2025. However, Jorginho wasn't the first famous face she'd been in a relationship with after previously dating a Hollywood A-lister.

That's now firmly in the past considering the couple's nuptials and the fact they share a son together. That being said, married life continues to throw some unexpected curveballs as Mirror Football breaks down some of the drama surrounding Jorginho's life behind closed doors.

Former Arsenal and Chelsea playmaker Jorginho started dating Harding in 2019. The relationship bloomed not long after he split from his ex-wife Natalia Leteri, with whom he shares two more children.

Harding has one child from another previous relationship, too. However, she and BAFTA award-winner Law were already split up when their daughter, Ada, was born in March 2015.

It was only four years later that Jorginho arrived on the scene, and the pair welcomed their own son, Jax, in 2020. Fast-forward to today, and it's apparent he shares a fond relationship with his step-daughter, who has lived with him in Brazil since he moved to Flamengo in the summer of 2025.

It was in Brazil that Harding's daughter, Ada, recently had an unfortunate run-in with singing sensation Chappell Roan . Or more specifically, her security, who allegedly reduced Ada to tears after the 11-year-old had a fleeting encounter with the 'Pink Pony Club' singer after seeing her at a Sao Paulo hotel.

Ada and Harding were due to see Roan at the Lollapalooza, where she was headlining, but cancelled their plans after the incident. Jorginho appeared in an Instagram story and said Ada merely walked past the songstress at her restaurant table, smiled and carried on without any request or breach of privacy before things purportedly took a strange turn.

Jorginho said: "A large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife [Harding] and my daughter, saying that she shouldn't allow my daughter to 'disrespect' or 'harass' other people.

"He even said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears. My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot."

In response, Roan posted a video to Instagram, in which she said: "I’m just going to tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child who were involved with a security guard who is not my personal security.

"I didn’t even see, I didn’t even see a woman and a child like … no one came up to me, no one bothered me, like I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel.

"I think these people were staying at the hotel as well. So, the fact that, like a security guard, who was – I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child, I did not.

"They did not come up to me. They weren’t doing anything. It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe, because there’s no action even taken."

However, Harding fired back by saying the guard was definitely not hotel staff and hoped Roan "learns a lesson" from their ordeal.

It was during the filming of Jorginho and Harding's appearance on 'Married to the Game' that fans got more than they bargained for in the fly-on-the-wall series. That's after the latter booted Amazon Prime's film crew out of their house so she and her beau could get more intimate.

"Jay's coming home in two days in the evening," she said at the time. "He's actually said we're having an hour together in the afternoon so I don't care who is here, they need to get out of our house for an hour. So if you're filming on Friday you have to get out for an hour!'"

Harding had no issue in opening up for the public masses when it came to certain details many other couples may prefer to remain private. It's little wonder it took the happy couple less than a year to conceive their first child after becoming an item.
