“I’ve been dreaming about that”: Sesko’s 94th-minute winner seals Man United’s third straight victory under Carrick
Benjamin Sesko has said he has been 'dreaming' of this moment after scoring the winner for Manchester United against Fulham .
Sesko scored a 94th-minute winner as Manchester United made it three successive Premier League wins under interim manager Michael Carrick.
United had started positively at Old Trafford and led 2-0 inside the opening hour, as goals from Casemiro and Matheus Cunha but the hosts in control.
A win looked set to be snatched from the Red Devils, however, as Fulham fought back to level. Raul Jimenez's emphatic penalty and Kevin's equaliser looked to have earned the Cottagers a result, until Sesko's strike moments later decided the game.
The Slovenian striker has endured a challenging time since arriving from RB Leipzig last summer, but hopes his match-winning contribution off the bench can start a scoring spree.
"That was unbelievable. Scoring at home and scoring the winner is unbelievable. I've been dreaming about that and dreaming that I can do that," he said to Sky Sports.
"We all know as a team how important these results are. We are on a really great run right now and we are just hoping that we can continue to work hard like that to win games. I'm really happy that I could help the team out. We can continue our streak now."
The win moves Manchester United back above Liverpool and Chelsea and into fourth in the Premier League
