Every remaining Arsenal fixture predicted as Premier League title battle goes to the wire

Arsenal are edging closer to the Premier League title with 10 matches remaining and Ray Parlour reckons that Mikel Arteta will deliver success. The Gunners remain firmly positioned at the top of the table, holding a four-point advantage over rivals Manchester City .

However, Pep Guardiola's outfit have a game in hand and could narrow the deficit to merely one point with victory away to Leeds United on Saturday evening.

Throughout recent campaigns, Arsenal supporters have become familiar with topping the league only to surrender the title during the final stretch. This has left numerous fans anxious about the forthcoming weeks, and Parlour believes his former club has the mettle to ultimately get the glory.

The Arsenal icon told the Metro of his verdict on the league leaders' remaining fixtures and claims they have a more favourable schedule than City.

For the final ten matches, Arsenal have six at home and four away, beginning with a London derby against Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday. Concerning the Blues' threat, Parlour said: "These will have been two big games, against Tottenham and Chelsea in a week. If they get through them with two wins, that puts them in a very decent position.

"The place will be buzzing. This will be the first weekend in a long time where they have had a week off too so they should start brightly. If you score first against Chelsea, they can crumble. They are a bit flaky at the back and they will give up opportunities. I don't think too many of their players get into this Arsenal side."

Across the remainder of March, there's a journey to mid-table Brighton followed by a home encounter with Everton - two match-ups that Parlour thinks Arsenal will achieve maximum points from. He suggested the "safe" nature of the Seagulls' league standing removes them as a threat and when addressing the Toffees, he added: "You've got to have that as a win."

A home meeting with Bournemouth in April is earmarked as another victory for the Gunners before a crucial showdown a week afterwards with title contenders City at the Etihad Stadium. Parlour said: "I always say, against your rivals, and this is what we always tried to do against Man United, win at home and draw away.

"So I'll go for a draw. City will need to go out and win the game and we know Arsenal can hit you on the break."

Two home fixtures against Newcastle and Fulham end April and launch the final month of the campaign and the 52-year-old is optimistic about this "good run-in."

Addressing the Magpies, Parlour said: "Newcastle aren't great away from home and we've had good results against them recently. I look at those home games and they have to be wins."

The only other dropped points the Arsenal legend sees on this list comes against struggling West Ham in May, who currently find themselves in the relegation zone. He said: "That could be tricky. A lot depends on where West Ham are by then and if they still have a chance to stay up.

"It could be tricky. I might put a draw down for that one but it is hard to call at this point."

Parlour predicts the penultimate game against Burnley will be a straightforward victory as they'll "probably be down by then," before the final day at Selhurst Park. Weighing up Crystal Palace's predicament with outgoing manager Oliver Glasner , he said: "Oliver Glasner will be leaving so I suppose maybe he will want to go out on a high, especially at Selhurst Park."

"But they will be safe. they could still be in the Conference League at that stage too which could make a difference."

Two draws and eight victories is all Parlour believes will be necessary to claim the title without factoring in City's own Premier League form. He added: "If it goes down to the last day of the season, I would be delighted.
