Bayer Leverkusen manager decision revealed on eve of Arsenal Champions League clash

Arsenal travel to Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday but the Premier League leaders' opponents find themselves clouded by uncertainty. According to reports in Germany, the future of Leverkusen head coach Kasper Hjulmand remains uncertain, with the club planning to hold a review at the end of the season.
The former Denmark manager was tasked with stabilising the club after Erik ten Hag was dismissed. Hjulmand has performed at the BayArena, steering Leverkusen into the Round of 16 in the Champions League and a DFB Pokal semi-final, whilst they are still within grasp of the European places in the Bundesliga.
After a promising start, since the end of February, the German club have had a wobble winning just one of their last five in all competitions.
It has prompted reports from Germany, namely from Sky Sports ' Florian Plettenberg, that a change of manager cannot be ruled out despite the 58-year-old winning 20 of the 36 game he has taken charge of.

The tweet read: "Bayer 04 Leverkusen will carry out a review at the latest after the season. This will also take place together with Kasper #Hjulmand.
"From the summer onwards, the future is open in all directions. It cannot be ruled out that there could also be a change in the head coach position.
"Hjulmand is under contract until 2027."
Leverkusen go into Wednesday's game on the back of their 3-3 draw away at Freiburg on Saturday.
The result came just hours after Arsenal needed a late strike from Eberechi Eze to beat Mansfield Town, Leverkusen came from behind twice before leading but couldn't earn an important win as Matthias Ginter equalised four minutes from time.

Hjulmand will address reporters ahead of the visit from the Gunners on Wednesday. But the Dane was left angered by the collapse against their European rivals with Leverkusen left three points off Stuttgart in fourth.
He said: "It was a good game for the fans, but for me as a coach there was too much turmoil.
"We started very well and then showed a strong mental reaction after going behind twice. We started well again in the second half and had good control.
