Daniel Farke believes his "mission is fulfilled" at Leeds and hinted that he'll need to be aligned with the owners' new goals if he is to remain at Elland Road.
The German has kept the Yorkshire side in the Premier League after winning the Championship last season with 100 points . Farke had previously struggled to keep Norwich in the top flight, leading to rumours those at Leeds were pondering a managerial change before the season even began.
But Farke has defied the doubters and cemented Leeds' status, owing to an impressive run post-November. The Whites are owned by the 49ers Enterprises and they will be under pressure to continue investing to ensure they become a Premier League team long-term.
Farke has 12 months left on his deal and was non-committal about what comes next, insisting he has completed the remit that he was set when he arrived following relegation in 2023.
He said: “All the boxes we wanted to be ticked are ticked. It was crucial to steady the ship. Important to reunite the club. Important to work for the long term and the mid term future of the club.
“We wanted to break the curse this season. This is probably the biggest achievement. We deserve to play in the Premier League. I am ambitious. We have spoken about our goals and how we want to achieve it. I am a manager that plays for something. I want something to play for. I'm not the right choice if it's about maintaining the status quo. I have to be convinced of the project.
“I'm at my very best when I buy into a project. I'm in a pretty fortunate position. The truth is we had one good Premier League season in 25 years. This is the second. It is important that we don't repeat the same mistakes. You have to develop and evolve and keep going.

"My mission is fulfilled. Important together and sit and speak about new goals. We have to speak about that and the way we want to achieve it. Before I speak about the future, club needs to decide the processes. We will do this internally then we will see what the outcome is."
Leeds spent three years in the Premier League when they were promoted under Marcelo Bielsa in 2020. Farke challenged the owners to "have another three to five year plan" as he looked to establish the club's vision.
