There has been plenty of speculation around Nicolas Jackson this summer.
The striker was seen as the main man through the middle for Chelsea , but incoming transfers have changed things at Stamford Bridge somewhat.
Blues boss Enzo Maresca has brought in Liam Delap from Ipswich Town in a cut-price £30million deal, while Joao Pedro has also joined from Brighton & Hove Albion for £60million.
That has left Jackson wondering about his place in the team, particularly with Joao Pedro performing so well early on in his Chelsea career in the Club World Cup.
Reports in the Athletic claim that the Blues are ready to sanction a move for Jackson if the right proposal arrives, with the likes of Newcastle and Manchester United, as well as clubs from across Europe interested in the 24-year-old.
The Athletic report that there is a "growing expectation" that he will leave the club this month and that developments on that are anticipated in the coming days.
Chelsea signed Jackson from Villarreal for a fee in the region of £32million and his sale, if they get the money they are looking for, would represent a significant profit. Jackson has 24 goals and 10 assists in 65 Premier League appearances for Chelsea since arriving in 2023.
