Liam Rosenior has provided an injury update ahead of Chelsea's clash against Everton. The Blues will be without some big names when they lock horns with David Moyes' side at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to reporters at Cobham training ground on Thursday afternoon, Rosenior began by putting a timeline on the return of Trevoh Chalobah , who suffered an ankle injury during Chelsea's defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
The Blues defender was stretchered off the field towards the end of the second half after suffering an ankle injury. The 41-year-old said: "It wasn't until later after the game that I saw the image, and then you're really worried .
"Fortunately it's nowhere near as serious as we first feared. We're looking at maybe six weeks."

Rosenior also provided an update on Levi Colwill, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the summer and has recently returned to first-team training. The Chelsea claimed that the defender still faces a 'good while' on the sidelines despite progressing well with his rehabilitation.
"With an ACL, he's hitting all of the benchmarks he needs to but we need to make sure he keeps getting past certain levels," said Rosenior. "He's still looking at a good while yet."

The Chelsea boss later confirmed that Filip Jorgensen, who suffered a groin injury, following the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16, required surgery. Rosenior said: "Filip had his scan and needed a minor operation. It's a matter of weeks."
And on Reece James, who suffered a hamstring injury earlier this week, Rosenior said: "We're going to look more at Reece more after the international break. It's not serious but there's something in his hamstring we're going to look at it after the break."
Chelsea have lost each of their last three games, and Rosenior is determined to turn things around before the upcoming international break . The Blues boss said: "When you lose games, there's always damage attached to it."

"I'm learning about the team, the players and the staff. I've learned a lot this week," added Rosenior. "Every manager goes through difficult weeks.
"I've had challenging periods before. I've lost games in many jobs, like all managers have done. We need to find a way to fight at Everton and come through a difficult period."
On a difficult couple of weeks, Rosenior said: "I think most clubs, most teams go through this moment in a season. What I've seen, not just today, yesterday, after the game, during the game where we were down to 10 men in the last minutes was not a lack of effort.
"We have eight huge games plus a cup competition we want to win so we can still impact things in a positive way."
