Bournemouth snatch late draw against Manchester United

Manchester United were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw as Bournemouth produced a spirited late comeback in an entertaining Premier League clash.

After a lively opening period, neither side could find a breakthrough before the interval, with both goalkeepers called into action during an evenly contested first half.

The game sprang to life after the restart. United took the lead just before the hour mark when Bruno Fernandes calmly converted from the penalty spot after Matheus Cunha was brought down.

The Cherries responded quickly, with Ryan Christie firing home from the edge of the box to bring the hosts level following a swift attacking move.

United regained the advantage soon after, as Fernandes’ corner caused confusion in the area and James Hill inadvertently turned the ball into his own net under pressure.

The hosts refused to back down and continued to threaten, going close through Alex Scott, whose curling effort rattled the crossbar.
