Benjamin Sesko’s camp sends Man United a warning

Benjamin Sesko’s role at Manchester United is back in the spotlight after his agent, Elvis Basanovic, made it clear that he is not happy with a certain label being attached to the striker in England.

The discussion has only intensified since United’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, when the Slovenian international was once again named among the substitutes rather than in the starting line-up.

The 22-year-old came on after the break but could not add to his goal tally, and thus he currently remains on nine in the Premier League.

According to Slovenian outlet Ekipa , there is still contention over Sesko’s ideal position, with some pundits feeling he is more dangerous coming off the bench than starting matches.

Furthermore, former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel is said to believe Michael Carrick should continue using the ex-RB Leipzig forward as a substitute.

After all, the 62-year-old stressed that the Radece native looks even hungrier when he comes on later in games.

Meanwhile, this way of thinking has helped fuel the ‘Super Sub’ tag, but Basanovic made it evident that he views the former Red Bull Salzburg attacker differently.

Moreover, in comments made in the Arena Sport studio, he mentioned that: “If you ask me about this name, I don’t like it.”

In addition, he observed that: “I’m much more interested in the ‘super striker.'”

Basanovic continued insisting that: “I think Benjamin is a great striker.”

He even went further to highlight that: “He has appeared in 13 games since the start this year, coming off the bench in 13 games.”

He also asserted that: “He scored half of the goals when he started the game and half when he came off the bench.”

And finally he concluded that: “We see that he is a complete striker and Benjamin is someone who deserves to be called a ‘super striker.'”

Essentially, these remarks not only dismiss a moniker, but they also make it obvious how Sesko’s camp believe he should be talked about.
