13 Man Utd players who could be moved on in savage summer clear-out

Manchester United supporters are eager to see a number of new arrivals during the club's summer transfer window . However, departures will prove just as important in streamlining the squad and bankrolling potential new signings.
The tally of exits could well hit double figures this summer. A number of prominent names are anticipated to make their way out, including Casemiro , who will leave when his contract expires .
Casemiro remains the top earner in the dressing room, meaning his departure will clear substantial room in the wage budget. United are also eager to offload Marcus Rashford , who currently pockets £300,000 per week.
Barcelona possess the option to sign Rashford permanently for £26million at the end of the season, though reports coming out of Spain indicate their appetite for completing the deal has cooled . It remains feasible that Barcelona are masking their genuine intentions in an attempt to negotiate a lower permanent fee for Rashford, so it came as scant surprise when Michael Carrick left the door open for a return to Manchester during a press conference last week.
When asked about Rashford, he said: "I just think there are decisions to be made in time, really, on certain things, and obviously Marcus is in that situation. But at this point in time, nothing's been decided. And it will be, because it has to be at a certain point, but at this stage, there's nothing to say."
Carrick could not dismiss the prospect of Rashford returning, as doing so would weaken United's bargaining position this summer. The Red Devils will not entertain any cut-price bids from Barca and will pursue alternative suitors if the Spanish giants are unwilling to meet their valuation.
Much like Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho have both spent the season away on loan. However, the terms of Napoli's arrangement for Hojlund stipulated that he would join the Italian club on a permanent basis for £38m once their obligation, subject to certain conditions, is triggered.

Hojlund's move to Napoli has been described as a "formality", meaning his three-year spell at United will come to an end. United will avoid a loss under PSR regulations, which represents something of a silver lining given his disappointing tenure at the club.
Aston Villa brought Sancho in on loan on transfer deadline day, with Unai Emery's side agreeing to cover 80 per cent of his wages. The arrangement also included achievable bonuses, meaning his full salary has effectively been met throughout his time in Birmingham this season.
United collected a loan fee, yet the agreement contained no option or obligation to sign Sancho permanently, meaning he will leave Old Trafford as a free agent this summer. Sancho appeared destined for stardom when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £72.8m in the summer of 2021, but his time in Manchester has proven a grave disappointment.
Tyrell Malacia also found himself in the so-called 'bomb squad' alongside Sancho last summer. United attempted to move the Dutch defender on, but he remained at the club beyond the transfer window, and came close to leaving once more in January.
Malacia had been a reliable back-up option until he picked up a knee injury at the end of his debut campaign in Manchester. He underwent two separate surgeries, missed more than 500 days of football and has struggled to recapture his previous form since returning.

United will look to offload Andre Onana on a permanent basis and recoup as much as possible of the £47.2m they splashed out to bring the goalkeeper to Old Trafford from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023. Radek Vitek will be given the chance to impress during pre-season following an encouraging loan spell with Bristol City , though the talented stopper is keen to play regularly after featuring twice a week in the Championship .
With Senne Lammens having cemented his place as first choice, United may find themselves reluctantly having to sanction a sale of Vitek, provided the right clauses can be negotiated with any potential suitor. Whether Altay Bayindir will move on after yet another campaign spent largely on the bench remains to be seen.
The Turkish goalkeeper has been heavily linked with an exit, which would afford him far greater opportunities to play first-team football. Doubt hangs over Joshua Zirkzee , who considered his future ahead of the winter transfer window before being informed he would not be allowed to depart.
United view Zirkzee as a valuable squad asset, yet the Dutchman has become increasingly disgruntled by his lack of regular game time. Manuel Ugarte finds himself in a similar position to Zirkzee, having managed just eight league starts.

The INEOS hierarchy plans to give new signings two seasons to prove their worth, and Ugarte is now approaching the end of his second campaign at the club. It's fair to say he has struggled to make his mark. Meanwhile, a number of academy graduates look set to be shown the door this summer.
Tyler Fredricson still has a year remaining on his contract, but may pursue a permanent exit in order to kick-start his professional career. Toby Collyer spent the first half of the season on loan at West Bromwich Albion before switching to Hull City for the second half.
There was genuine interest in signing Collyer on a permanent basis last summer, and he is eager to nail down regular first-team football. Dan Gore is also out of contract this summer.
