Next five Premier League title race fixtures as Arsenal draw puts fate in Man City's hands

Arsenal missed out on the chance to go further clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw with Wolves in the top flight on Wednesday night at Molineux.

Mikel Arteta ’s side had taken a 2-0 lead over Wolves thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie, with Arsenal on course to secure a valuable three points.

Hugo Bueno got a goal back for the home side before a Tom Edozie equaliser in stoppage time left Arsenal having to settle for a point in a draw in their trip to the West Midlands.

The result means that Arsenal now have a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, with City still in second place and having played one game fewer.

Arsenal’s match against Wolves was originally scheduled to be played the same weekend as the Carabao Cup final, where they will also meet City at Wembley Stadium.

City’s fixture that weekend is against Crystal Palace , but a date for that match is yet to be confirmed, so Pep Guardiola ’s side will have a game in hand for the time being.

If City were to win that game in hand, they would then be just two points behind Arsenal and will welcome the Gunners to the Etihad Stadium later in the season.

Both Arsenal and City are back in Premier League action this weekend, having had a break from top-flight duties last week to feature in the fourth round of the FA Cup .

This weekend, though, will see the Premier League title race resume, with several key fixtures to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
