Next Chelsea Manager Odds: Premier League manager emerges as new bookies favourite

A new favourite has emerged and it is an outgoing Premier League manager with plenty of plaudits to with it as Chelsea begin their search to replace Liam Rosenior as the Blues seek Champions League football. While the new manager will not start until the end of the season, they will be eager to see how the Blues squad fare as they look to achieve qualification to Europe's top-tier club competition.

After a 3-0 defeat to Brighton - their fourth successive loss to the Seagulls - the Chelsea board felt enough was enough after five successive losses with no goals to show for it as Rosenior, a former Brighton defender himself, was shown the door . Since the club last recorded a goal - and a win in fact - the Premier League has registered 105 goals, 11 of those were conceded by the west London club.

The betting market has shifted dramatically with Cesc Fabregas the initial favourite but now it seems a new contender has emerged with rumours of him on the shortlist too. That person is in fact Andoni Iraola, the outgoing Bournemouth boss, as he seeks a new challenge from the Vitality Stadium.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Following Chelsea‘s decision to sack Liam Rosenior, we make departing Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola the early favourite to take the reins at Stamford Bridge. Iraola is 2/1 to assume the role - a shade shorter than former Chelsea defender Filipe Luis (3/1) at the top of the market.

“Another ex-Blue, Cesc Fabregas (5/1), is third in the betting, sharing odds with departing Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.”

Other suitors include Glanser, who he himself is serving his last season at Crystal Palace, as he looks for a new challenge from Selhurst Park. Glasner himself has a solid track record of winning trophies with the FA Cup at his current club and the Europa League while at Eintracht Frankfurt too.
