Manchester United head to east London on Tuesday night looking for their fifth straight Premier League win under Michael Carrick. United have strung together an excellent sequence - beating Manchester City , Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham to cement their position in fourth place with 13 games to go.
Victory would further extend their cushion over Chelsea , with only one point dividing the two clubs and Liam Rosenior's team welcoming Leeds United . Away from the action, Carrick continues to juggle fitness issues, with Mason Mount ruled out for the clash.
"Mason will probably not be available for Tuesday, likely after, but definitely going into the Everton game he'll be back," Carrick revealed during his press conference.

Matthijs de Ligt is also in a race against the clock as he recovers from a back problem. The centre-back hasn't played since United's victory at Crystal Palace , on November 30. "Matthijs, we'll see how he develops," Carrick added. "The Everton game feels a long way off at the moment, so we'll see how he progresses."
West Ham , by contrast, sit in the drop zone despite their recent improvement in results, having claimed three wins from their last four league fixtures.
