Man City 115 charges verdict theory as expert shares 'what I've heard'

Financial expert Stefan Borson believes that Manchester City will have a verdict on their 115 charges saga "quite soon." The Sky Blues could face substantial penalties if they are found to have breached Financial Fair Play rules between 2009 and 2018.
Such penalties could come in the form of large fines, a transfer ban, a points deduction or even expulsion from the Premier League . They could also risk seeing their impressive collection of eight Premier League titles stripped from them, leaving them with just their trophies from 1936/37 and 1967/68.
The hearing into the alleged breaches ended in December 2024, following a 12-week tribunal. However, an independent commission has yet to announce a verdict on matters.
City have also denied any wrongdoing, and are thought to be confident of being cleared. And now, Borson has given his take on when City and the Premier League will learn the outcome of the tribunal.
Speaking with talkSPORT , the expert said: "I think it’s coming quite soon, but then we have said that before, right?
"My best guess and the kind of feeling in the parties is that it will come at the end of the season.
"June would be most likely, that’s the feeling. There’s no justification now from a kind of how long it takes to write this up, there’s no justification now.
"This is now ridiculous territory, 18 months to write up a decision in a private arbitration is clearly ridiculous. There’s been little things that I’ve heard that would signify that we are coming to the end of the process of writing it up."

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
It comes as Pep Guardiola's undivided attention will currently be set winning the FA Cup with the Sky Blues. City travel to Wembley to face Chelsea on Saturday, May 16 - with kick-off slated for 3pm.
However, that attention should quickly return to disrupting Arsenal's hopes of a first Premier League title in over two decades when the dust settles.

At the time of writing, City sit second in the league table with just two matches left to play. They also stray Arsenal by just two points.
While just one win against either Bournemouth or Aston Villa could be enough to see Guardiola's side crowned champions once more, that would also ride on Arsenal losing to both Burnley and Crystal Palace in their final two matches.
