Luke Littler taunted Tottenham fans at Old Trafford during Manchester United ’s 2-0 victory on Saturday.

Goals in each half from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes sealed the three points for United, who have now won four consecutive Premier League games under Michael Carrick .

Littler, meanwhile, watched the match at Old Trafford and paraded his World Darts Championship trophy in front of his fellow United supporters during the half-time break.

Spurs fans in the away section chanted Michael van Gerwen’s name towards Littler before the 19-year-old responded by pointing to his trophy and holding up two fingers as a reminder that it was his second World Darts Championship title.

Tottenham supporters then chanted, ‘you fat b******’ towards Littler as he left the pitch.

Elsewhere, Carrick was keen to play down questions over his own future after the win over Spurs with United fans keen to see the 44-year-old stay at Old Trafford next season.

‘Nah, it’s not for now. I think to get excited and carried away, as a supporter, is where you should be,’ Carrick said.

‘It’s why you come to support us, to dream and get carried away, hopefully leaving in good spirits and looking forward to coming back. It’s our job to provide that and, to be in a position to do that in the last few weeks, has been great. We’ve got to keep doing that.’
