Leeds United are not mathematically safe yet, but they can move closer to survival when they host already-relegated Burnley at Elland Road on Friday. Daniel Farke’s side are unbeaten in five and six points clear of 18th-placed Tottenham with four games left, though 40 points may not guarantee safety this season despite Leeds already reaching it.

The bookies have a clear favourite in this with the hosts leading the way as odds-on to secure all three points at 2/5 with William Hill , Betfred and Ladbrokes while Burnley are best priced at 15/2 with BetVictor to cause a shock at Elland Road. With relegation already confirmed for the away side, the side have nothing to play for so with the pressure off it could make for an interesting twist in the Premier League's weekend opener especially with Scott Parker having now left the club.

Leeds have taken nine points from their last five matches and have won five straight games against already-relegated teams with an 18-3 aggregate score too. With four games left to go and a six-point cushion over Tottenham Hotspur for the final relegation spot, Daniel Farke's side will be eager to write themselves out of the relegation fight once and for all this season.

Burnley’s relegation was confirmed by a 1-0 loss to Manchester City last week and they’ve won just one of their last 25 league games, but they could still complete a rare double over Leeds. Their away form has dipped recently, losing their last three on the road by a combined 9-2.

Leeds are in decent shape fitness-wise, but Ilia Gruev is out for the season with a knee injury, and Gabriel Gudmundsson will be assessed after a hamstring problem ahead of Friday.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin leads the scoring with 11, though he has just one goal in his last eight games and hasn’t scored from open play since February’s 3-1 win over Forest. Noah Okafor is the form man, with five of his seven Leeds goals coming since the start of February.

Burnley are without Josh Cullen, Connor Roberts and Jordan Beyer, but Hannibal Mejbri, Axel Tuanzebe and Zeki Amdouni are close to returning. Zian Flemming is one goal shy of a Premier League double figure haul, and eight of his nine league goals have come away from home.
