Ethan Nwaneri's brother fails to upstage him at Arsenal as he makes history

Ethan Nwaneri's younger brother, Emerson, may have broken an Arsenal record but failed to upstage his sibling's performances. The 15-year-old became the fifth youngest goalscorer in U18s history by scoring against rivals Tottenham .

However, he wasn't able to drag the team to victory as Spurs U18s ran out 4-1 winners at the Sobha Realty Training Centre. The goal will have been priceless to the teenager, but it means his older brother Ethan is still a record-holder over him.

The current Arsenal star, who is on loan to Olympique de Marseille , still holds the title of the youngest goalscorer after finding the net at just 14 years old.

But earlier in the year, Emerson became the youngest-ever player to start for Arsenal's U21s, playing in Premier League 2 against Liverpool .

The 15-year-old's performances have been impressive this season. He even scored a hat-trick in a 4-3 win over Chelsea U16s earlier on in the campaign.

This rise in trajectory has caught the eye of the Gunner's hierarchy, earning him a scholarship contract for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Meanwhile, the eldest Nwaneri brother has been shipped out on loan in France after struggling for game time under Mikel Arteta .

He has made four appearances for the Ligue 1 side, scoring one goal in 215 minutes of action.

Since Roberto De Zerbi's exit by mutual consent last week, Nwaneri hasn't seen the pitch after he was an unused substitute in a 2-2 draw with Strasbourg on Saturday.

Only time will tell if Emerson will be able to follow in his eldest sibling's footsteps in north London. Despite sending Ethan out on loan, Arteta seems to rate the youngster highly and has no regrets in letting him leave for more regular game time.
