Nuno Espírito Santo is hopeful Crysencio Summerville will be available to start for West Ham United in their Premier League clash with Wolves tonight.

The former Leeds United star has been in fine form this season with seven goals and four assists in 27 appearances.

His run of four goals in four games in January and February helped the Hammers give themselves a fighting chance in their bid to avoid relegation.

With seven games of the campaign to go, the east Londoners are still in the bottom three in 18th place but are just a point behind Tottenham (17th) and three adrift of Nottingham Forest (16th).

West Ham can move out of the relegation zone with victory over the league’s bottom side Wolves at the London Stadium tonight.

Summerville has missed his side’s last four games with a calf problem , including Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Leeds.

But the Dutchman is among the clutch of players hopeful of returning to action this evening.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Espirito Santo said: ‘He’s (Summerville) improving.

‘Cry, JC (Jean-Clair Todibo) and Callum Wilson are all improving, so we’ll see. We still have tomorrow to assess, and we’re positive that they can be available.

‘Dinos [Mavropanos] is clear of the concussion protocol, which is good. Aaron [Wan-Bissaka] is back with us, and he’s working well.
