Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Wilson Odobert has sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and will need surgery on the injury.

Odobert was forced off with injury just after the half-hour mark in Tuesday's loss to Newcastle United. The forward tried to hook his leg round Harvey Barnes to intercept the ball but jarred his left knee in the turf.

After receiving treatment, Odobert walked off the pitch and headed straight down the tunnel. Now, the club have confirmed he will face a period on the sidelines.
