Patrick Dorgu steps up recovery in boost for Manchester United before Leeds trip
Leeds United’s next Premier League opponents, Manchester United , have been handed a lift with Patrick Dorgu stepping up his recovery.
The club said in a statement that the 21-year-old Danish winger is now working on the pitches on an individual basis at Carrington. It added there is still no timeline for first-team action, with the current aim to rejoin the squad before the end of the season.
Dorgu sustained a hamstring injury in January’s 3-2 win at Arsenal, going off with nine minutes left after earlier making it 2-1 in the 50th minute.
His setback followed a productive spell, including a Goal of the Month winner against Newcastle United on Boxing Day, and he also provided one of United’s two goals against Manchester City.
There had been suggestions of around 10 weeks out from the late-January injury. After today’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham, Leeds visit Old Trafford next Monday night to resume their survival push.
