Karim Adeyemi is holding out for a move to the Premier League with Manchester United keen despite attempts from Borussia Dortmund to keep him in Germany.
The forward has a deal with the Bundesliga outfit until 2027 and has continued to impress, which has led to admiring glances from major clubs in Europe. Adeyemi has been criticised for a perceived 'disrespectful' attitude on the pitch and is keen on a move away from Dortmund.
Dortmund are trying to convince the player, who has scored 34 goals in 140 games, that he is a key part of their future plans and have tabled an impreoved deal that reflects that.
German outlet Bild reports that Adeyemi has been coy - showing little interest in signing the deal while he waits for see if any Premier League suitors emerge ahead of a summer move, but his deal includes no release clause.
Adeyemi has scored just twice since the start of the year, which has not gone down well amid suggestions his contract situation is proving a distraction.
At the end of last year he attracted unwanted attention when he reacted badly to being subbed off. Adeyemi was taken off on the hour-mark of his team's 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, but he stormed past the Dortmund bench and headed toward the changing room.
Former German international and World Cup Sami Khedira called him for his behaviour. "You can be angry with the coach, but you support your team, your team-mates," he said. "Because they are the ones on the pitch and they notice things like that."

United are in the market for forwards, especially on the left wing. They've continued to pour money into their strike force and are looking to invest again this summer, although their budget is likely to be split across several areas with the club keen to add at least one central midfielder.
Dortmund meanwhile face a battle to retain several of their leading lights. After months of uncertainty, a decision on Nico Schlotterbeck’s Dortmund future, including a possible extension beyond 2027, is expected soon, but the possibility remains that he could move on.
