Chelsea fans send new message in protest against BlueCo ahead of Manchester United clash
Chelsea fans have once again protested against the club’s ownership group
More than 500 Chelsea fans protested against the club’s ownership ahead of kick-off before Saturday’s game against Manchester United.
There was a significant Met Police presence before a civilly-observed protest against the board, which began at the Wolfpack Inn pub and saw the protesters march along Fulham Broadway towards Stamford Bridge .
The protest was organised by the ‘NotAProjectCFC’ fan group and took place 75 minutes before a crucial Premier League match between the Blues and Man United .
Fans have been left unhappy with the club’s direction in recent seasons but the mood has been particularly low during a run of five defeats from six games, which has included their bruising exit from the Champions League last 16, which came by an 8-2 aggregate scoreline at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
There were chants of “You greedy b*******, get out of our club” and “We want BlueCo out” among those who protested against the direction of the two-time Champions League-winning club.

A much smaller protest of around 200 disgruntled fans took place ahead of January’s 2-0 win over Brentford , in which was the name of the then-recently-departed head coach Enzo Maresca was chanted.
Earlier in the week, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) have penned a strongly-worded open letter to Chelsea’s owners and directors, accusing the club of having an “unclear vision, inconsistent execution, and insufficiently accountable leadership”.
A CST spokesperson said: “Chelsea supporters have shown patience through a sustained period of change. That patience has not been matched by the level of clarity or accountability the club owes its supporters.”
