Arsenal get dream Premier League title race scenario as Conference League final confirmed

Crystal Palace have booked their place in the UEFA Conference League final, which could be good news for Arsenal's Premier League title hopes. Palace came out as 5-2 aggregate winners.
Having recorded a 3-1 away win in the first leg, the Eagles went into Thursday night's second leg as clear favourites in the tie. They increased their lead in the 25th minute through a Pedrinho own goal.
Shakhtar replied nine minutes later through Eguinaldo to make it 1-1 on the night, but they were unable to close the gap between the two teams. In fact, Palace increased their lead through Ismaila Sarr to make it 2-1 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate.

The semi-final win have seen Palace secure their place in the final, where they will take on French side Strasbourg. That match will take place on Wednesday, 27 May.
Strasbourg, managed by Gary O'Neil, came out as 2-0 aggregate winners over Spanish side Rayo Vallecano in their semi-final.
Just three days before the final, Palace face Arsenal at Selhurst Park in the Premier League final day. It's a match which could be crucial in deciding where the title ends up.

Having made the final of the Conference League, Palace will be expected to have an eye on that game. Oliver Glasner could therefore make changes to his starting XI against Arsenal to rest key players, which could be good news for the Gunners.

Palace could have a big say in the title race between Arsenal and Man City, with the Eagles travelling to take on City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, 13 May. That game is Pep Guardiola's side's game in hand over Arsenal.
Man City will be in a similar position on the final day. They take on Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium, with Unai Emery's side in Europa League final action on Wednesday, 20 May.
Villa came out as 4-1 aggregate winners over fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest .
Ahead of this weekend's Premier League action, Arsenal sit top of the table, five points ahead of City.
Mikel Arteta's side, therefore, have their own fate in their hands, and know that City will be unable to catch them if they win their final three games of the season.
