Liverpool are headed for the FA Cup quarter-finals after racing into a two-goal lead at Wolves.

Fresh from suffering a chastening defeat in the Premier League, Arne Slot's side returned to Molineux hoping to right the wrongs of their late midweek reversal.

They made good on that promise with two goals in the space of under three minutes with Andy Robertson at the heart of both on his return to the Reds' starting line-up.

The Scotland captain broke the deadlock with a really well-taken shot from just outside the penalty area before teeing up Mohamed Salah a short while later.

Since Milos Kerkez's arrival last summer, Robertson has found himself out of favour at Anfield with his current contract is due to expire at the end of this season.

He was almost offloaded to Tottenham in the January transfer window before a dearth of cover saw the proposed switch to the league's relegation strugglers called off.
