Wolves hope to end poor record against Crystal Palace in Premier League clash

Selhurst Park will play host to an unpredictable Premier League fixture at 2pm on Sunday, February 22.

In their last five meetings, Crystal Palace have certainly had the upper hand over Wolverhampton Wanderers, winning four by two clear goals. Wolves have only managed one 2-2 draw during that time.

This time around, there are signs that things may be different. Wolves are desperate to stay in the Premier League for a ninth consecutive year, following a truly torrid first half of the campaign. They have just nine points from 26 games. However, two recent top-flight draws and victory over Grimsby Town in the FA Cup last weekend will have provided the Midlanders a small, but much-needed, boost.

Palace aren't enjoying the best of campaigns, winning just one of their last 14 matches in all competitions, which means they are currently sitting 13th in the Premier League table, eight points clear of the relegation zone.

One of the many obstacles standing between the Eagles and a consistent run of form is the soap opera around head coach Oliver Glasner, who will leave the club at the end of the season. Replacing him is going to be a seriously difficult task, given everything the Austrian has achieved at Selhurst Park, not least winning the FA Cup last season.

Palace made the trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday to play HŠK Zrinjski Mostar in the Conference League, which will have further complicated preparation for the weekend.
