William Saliba has missed Arsenal ’s Premier League match against Brighton due to injury.

The 24-year-old scored Arsenal’s opener in their 2-1 win at home to Chelsea last Sunday.

But Mikel Arteta is without the French centre-back for his side’s trip to Brighton on Wednesday night.

Arsenal have confirmed that Saliba misses out after ‘picking up an issue’ in the victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.

Cristhian Mosquera replaces Saliba in central defence, while Arteta makes one other change to his side as Gabriel Martinellistarts ahead of Leandro Trossard.

Max Dowman is also back among the substitutes, having not featured for the first team since playing against Slavia Prague in the Champions League in November.

Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino and Ben Whiteall miss out due to injury.
