Mikel Arteta has become Arsenal’s resident DJ to provide the soundtrack of the season. The Spaniard was even seen dancing with delight on the pitch after Arsenal ’s Champions League win over Atletico Madrid.

Gunners boss Arteta hopes they will have more celebrations as they lead the Premier League title race and are into the Champions League final. They have been playing their own song in the dressing room for weeks - and pumped it out over the stadium public address system after the Atletico win.

Arsenal fans made a song - with the words Set Piece Again Ole Ole before it pumped out all the player names - and published it on Spotify.

The players heard it, loved it and have now developed their own version with Arteta himself at the heart of producing it and perfecting it via an Artificial Intelligence online app.

A sound producer was also roped in and now they have got their own song which was played to the stadium - and can be heard in the dressing room. It basically chants out the names of every player to a drum machine beat.

They hope to be playing it again after Arsenal’s game at West Ham - and Arteta says he will happily dance along again as he hopes it will be the soundtrack to a season of success.

When asked if the public does not see that side of him very often, Arteta said: “That side? The dancing part? That was level one! There are a lot of levels to go. Hopefully we can see that at the end of the season.”

Arteta was pretty coy on the origins of the song - but says the players are happy to dance along, too. Headded: “It came there, somehow. The players really like it. I love it.”

And asked it it is becoming the soundtrack, he said: “Yep.”

Arsenal already have their own theme tune to run out to - North London Forever - but now they have a new song to keep them in the groove.
