Liverpool return to Premier League action this weekend but will be without several key players through injury. The Reds welcome West Ham to Anfield on Saturday afternoon as they push to secure a spot in next season's Champions League .

Arne Slot's side head into the fixture off the back of a 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest last weekend, with Alexis Mac Allister netting the crucial goal deep into stoppage time.

The Reds currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea and three adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United , reports the Liverpool Echo .

Liverpool will be eager to claim all three points against the Hammers to strengthen their Champions League qualification bid, and ahead of the fixture, Mirror Sport examined the Reds' current injury list and potential return dates.

Florian Wirtz looks set to miss Liverpool's clash with West Ham, having been sidelined by the same injury that ruled him out of the win over Nottingham Forest.

Wirtz sustained the knock during the warm-up at the City Ground, and Slot has admitted he remains unsure how long the Germany international will be absent.

“Don't expect Florian to be [available], which is a disappointment, every time my player isn't available is disappointment and I didn't expect it," Slot said on Friday.

“No [idea how long he is out]. Usually I do but don't want to share it, but I honestly don't know.

“It's a big accomplishment for him to stay fit for such a long time because he had to stay fit to make the step up, but unfortunately he is not available, which is a disappointment for him and for us because he played really well."

Potential return date: Unknown

Jeremie Frimpong is poised to rejoin the Liverpool squad for the West Ham fixture following a spell out with a thigh problem.

Frimpong has been absent from Liverpool's previous five fixtures due to the injury but has returned to training and is expected to be in contention against the Hammers.

Alexander Isak is progressing with his recovery from a fractured fibula and ankle injury that required surgery back in December.

Slot confirmed last week that he anticipates Isak returning to training either towards the end of March or the beginning of April, though he did not specify when the forward would be ready for selection.

"It will be somewhere around the international break, depends on if he gets a setback,” Slot stated. “End of March, start of April, when he's back with the group. Doesn't mean he's ready to start playing straight away."

Potential return date: April

Wataru Endo sustained a foot injury during the victory over Sunderland earlier this month, with the Japan international leaving the pitch at the Stadium of Light on a stretcher.

No definite timescale for a comeback has been provided, though Slot will be hoping to have Endo back in action before the season ends.

"A foot injury," Slot stated earlier this month. "We still need to do some assessments, but it's clear and obvious that he will be out for quite a long time."

Potential return date: Unknown

Conor Bradley picked up a knee injury during the goalless stalemate with Arsenal at the beginning of the year.

The Northern Ireland international is expected to remain sidelined for the remainder of the season with the injury, which required him to go undergo surgery.

Potential return date: July pre-season

Giovanni Leoni suffered a knee injury on his Liverpool debut back in September, which will keep the defender out for the rest of the campaign.

The Reds will be hoping to have the £26million summer signing from Parma back available to feature once more this summer.
